Mark A. Mordini | Managing Partner
Mr. Mordini is a founding member of Mordini Schwartz Vine. He received his law degree from The John Marshall Law School in 1989 after obtaining his bachelor’s degree from Carthage College in Kenosha, WI.
Mordini is a cunning litigator driven by a pursuit of the truth. Not afraid of the courtroom, he is well-known as a prominent Illinois defense lawyer with a reputation for unwavering advocacy. Mordini has tried hundreds of jury cases to verdict in every northern Illinois jurisdiction, compiling an exemplary record of success.
Born and raised in the Chicago area, Mordini rose through the ranks at his first legal job to become partner. After being hired away to serve as in-house counsel for a group of automobile liability carriers, Mordini partnered with L. Bradley Schwartz to form Mordini & Schwartz in 1996. As senior counsel at Mordini Schwartz Vine, he leads a firm that maintains a culture of passionate defense advocacy.

Mr. Vine joined Mordini & Schwartz in 2004 upon receiving his law degree from The John Marshall Law School that same year. After a decade of extraordinary success Mr. Vine established himself as an invaluable asset to the firm and its diversified clients. In 2014 the firm was renamed to reflect Mr. Vine’s leadership, ingenuity and integrity.
Mr. Vine is well-regarded and respected as a superior defense attorney with unparalleled legal knowledge and practical insight into legal strategies that contain costs and minimize exposure. Insurance company representatives are at ease knowing that Mr. Vine is responsible for the firm’s most significant high exposure files. He represents the firm’s major transportation clients and he is renowned in legal circles for his ability to get things done quickly and properly the first time.
Mr. Vine grew up in Montclair, New Jersey and graduated with a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University in 2000. From there he relocated to Chicago where he entered the practice of law. Mr. Vine is sought after by many carriers for his insightful defense strategies and collaboration with claims departments in a variety of complex and challenging scenarios. He has the unique ability to solve complicated legal problems when others are unable to do so.
L. Bradley Schwartz | Of Counsel
Mr. Schwartz co-founded Mordini & Schwartz with Mark A. Mordini in 1996. For ten years Mr. Schwartz managed the firm’s operations and trained attorneys in litigation strategy and tactics. Known as a tenacious advocate inside the courtroom and as a trusted colleague outside the courtroom, Mr. Schwartz is a leader, advisor and mentor to the insurance and litigation community.
In 2004 Mr. Schwartz lost his arms and legs to bacterial meningitis. He returned to Mordini & Schwartz the following year determined to learn the impact his new prosthetic limbs would have on defending personal injury cases in front of a jury. For the next decade Mr. Schwartz defended hundreds of cases against taxi companies, commercial carriers and para-transit services.
Mr. Schwartz attended the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS where he received an undergraduate degree in journalism. He obtained his law degree in 1991 from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, IL. Mr. Schwartz serves as of counsel to Mordini Schwartz Vine on a project basis for litigation guidance and strategic support upon approval by carrier and client. Mr. Schwartz is the principal and president of L. Bradley Law LLC.
